Autumn Marie

Originally from Portland, Oregon, Autumn Marie traveled to numerous cities in the United States and many other countries after high school as a member of The Young Americans on their Music Outreach National and International Tours. Through her international contacts, she was invited to live in Germany for half a year as an Associate Artistic Director of Musikschule Bad Karlshafen. While there, Autumn taught many workshops throughout the schools in the Kassel area.

During her five years living in New York city, Autumn studied as an Intern at Broadway Dance Center and has performed for many independent artists and companies including, Gabriella Ross, Andrea Benham, Sheila Barker, Chio, Jamie Jackson & Co., James Koroni, Sara Galan & (D)ancestry and Emily Bufferd & BEings.

She has had the opportunity to share her passion for dance at Broadway Dance Center on their faculty and as a master class teacher for the International Student Visa Program, Professional Semester students, and the BDC Training Program. She has also held numerous workshops and classes within the Manhattan area. She has choreographed and staged performances for Good Morning America, NephCure benefit, and other New York based showcases. She also hosted an online contemporary workshop for Twissha’s Delhi Dance Fever.

Giving back to communities is an important part of being an artist to Autumn, inspiring her involvement with Free Body Project, get RAD for RETT, MOVE for Autism Awareness, MOVE for Cambodia, Red Cross donation classes, and Lymphoma Fundraiser Event.

Autumn spent some time in Lima, Peru where she had the opportunity to teach for both Escuela D1 de Vania Masias and the Angeles outreach program. She also had the honor to work with the professional company associated with D1, CIA, teaching them closed Master Classes. While there, Autumn also set a contemporary movement piece for an upcoming original Peruvian musical, ‘TuLima!’.

She has also had the opportunity to set a second piece on the local pre-professional dance company, NWFusion, and teach regular classes to Westside Dance Academy’s award winning Performing Company.

Currently, Autumn is working on project A Step Around the World, a collaborative unity of artists from around the globe, in which she hopes to unite the dance world by teaching, learning, sharing, and caring for the dance community. Autumn’s endless desire to discover and understand all forms of dance keeps her inspired and she is looking forward to her future adventures in the world of movement.
