Hello there! Thank you so much for taking the time to support and learn more about my first mission trip to HARARE, ZIMBABWE! This is a really exciting journey and I am so glad you are choosing to be part of it!!
Since September I have been studying at Westside School of Mission and Theology. I have been growing leaps and bounds in my faith and what it looks like to live a life that follows the way of Jesus. I’m so thankful for the incredible teachers, mentors, and friends who have poured into us for this year to prepare us and equip us for our two month mission trip.
In Zimbabwe we will be working closely with an organization called Hands of Hope where some of the things I’ll be involved with include caring for orphans, teaching the Bible, leading worship, assisting with feeding programs, assisting with farming in the community, and learning the daily operations of pastoral life. I am most looking forward to all of the friendships and conversations to come and especially for what amazing things God has in store for this trip!
There are two main areas where I’ll need help with up to, during, and after our trip.
First, prayer, support, encouragement. As we begin to prepare for our trip there are a lot of areas I would really appreciate prayer for:
- Preparing physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually for all that we’ll encounter at our destination
- Securing finances for the entire trip
- The work we will be doing there and maintaining a willing, obedient, servant heart
- Safety and protection during our time serving
- Connecting with all of the people of the community and the conversations and fellowship we will share
Second, your monetary donations. The cost for the trip will be $4,500. Funds will cover all airfare, accommodations, meals, ground transportation, insurance, immunizations, and incidentals. And a great side note: all donations are tax deductible! You can make a donation by clicking HERE. This will take you directly to the Purecharity website which is safe, secure, and used by countless organizations and fund seekers.
Again, I am beyond grateful for your support. Thank you so much for taking this journey with me to build God’s Kingdom “On earth as it is in Heaven”.
